Instruction
Mr. Aerie is a sought-after cello instructor
residing in Duluth, Minnesota. He is currently on the cello
faculty at the College of St. Scholastica. With over 11 years
of experience teaching all ages and abilities, Mr. Aerie
offers private lessons in his home studio on North 19th Avenue East.

Teaching
“standard” cello technique, lessons are geared toward
technical development, efficient practicing, and perhaps
most importantly, the student’s individual musical and
artistic growth. An upbeat and kind teacher, students
are encouraged to feel comfortable and relaxed at the
lesson while performing at their best ability.

Mr. Aerie’s
students have won numerous auditions for orchestras,
scholarships, colleges and conservatories, and have
distinguished themselves in school ensembles, the
Solo and Ensemble Competition, and at summer music festivals.
Mr. Aerie
has served on juries for local and state-wide competitions
in Washington, D.C., California, and Colorado. He has
led master classes for both solo cellists and chamber
ensembles in Maryland, Colorado, and New York, and has
served as a faculty member at the American Youth Philharmonic
Orchestra program, the Washington, D.C. Youth Orchestra
Program, the Cello Workshop for Adults, the Capital
Cello Circle, and the Westminster School.
